Is Coaching Just A Fad? The Truth About The Coaching Industry...
Written by Frank Macri on February 3rd, 2020
According to Forbes, coaching is estimated to be $2B industry. And that number has been growing. It’s grown at a lightning speed.

Coaching is very much in demand within organizations. According to a 2009 study, “coaching was used by 90% of the organizations surveyed… [and] even during the economic downturn, 70% of the organizations surveyed reported that they were increasing or maintaining their commitment to coaching.”

Coaching now it’s also desired on a personal level. People are now hiring coaches to support them with dating, with parenting, with exercise, with writing books, with starting their own businesses… and the list goes on and on.

Public perception of the coaching industry is improving as more people work with coaches. A study on the effectiveness of coaching showed 99% of the people interviewed saw their experience working with a life coach as rewarding, while 96% stated they would do it again.

We live in the best time with the most opportunity that anyone has ever had before us. With technology, we can have location independence, meaning we can design our work from anywhere with an internet connection.

I used to think coaching is a luxury expense for people and that it would only be a realistic investment for people if the economy was great...
When actually, people are now seeing coaching as a necessity when they want to see optimal results in their lives and accelerate their progress and success.

Most people realize the cost and impact of NOT having a coach. Which includes...
• Getting stuck in the same problem over and over again
• Going through the motions knowing they are capable of so much more
• Settling for mediocre relationships and jobs
• Never having the courage to live a life true to themselves or express their feelings
• Becoming successful but feeling empty inside
• Not having full awareness of who they are what’s possible for them

Even the most self-aware people have they blind spots. And all of this are some of the main reasons are opening people’s minds up to invest in themselves and hire a coach. Isn’t that cool? This is very exciting time to be in our industry.
